The Cold War items in this display are from Dennis McKay, a native of Terre Haute who served 31 years in the US Army beginning with his time in the Vietnam War. McKay acquired the Russian Army belt in a trade with a group of Russians at a checkpoint on the Berlin Wall. He took the Russian flag from the Russian Officers Club in East Berlin. Not on display but stored in the museum archives is a table that belonged to the Officers Club of the Presidio Army Base in San Francisco.
